What is PlayStation’s 5 price?

Next big question in our mind is that, what will it cost? But again, Sony hasn’t revealed any information about its new console price. But Mark Evan Cerny said “I believe that we will be able to release it at an SRP [suggested retail price] that will be appealing to gamers in light of its advanced feature set,” which means that its price will be attractive to gamers.

PlayStation 5 price will not be revealed until the end of 2020. The original PlayStation and PlayStation 2 were launched at $299, the PS3 at $499 and recently PlayStation 4 came in at $399. The PlayStation 5 will sit just above the PS4, perhaps around $400-$500

Will PlayStation 5 be backward compatible with PS4 games?

Mark Cerny confirmed that the PS5 will not only be backward compatible with prior PlayStation games, but these games will run much faster on PlayStation 5 then from your current console. Cerny also has demonstrated Insomniac’s Spider-Man load screen taking less than a second on a PS5 development kit, compared with PS4 Pro, which takes almost 15 seconds to load.

One report says that the PS5 will act as an emulator for PS4, PS3, PS2, and even original PlayStation games but we will have to wait to see how much truth there is in that.

What is PlayStation 5 specifications and disk drive?

Sony has been surprisingly straightforward with new information about specs. The company has confirmed the new PlayStation 5 will contain an AMD’s third-generation Ryzen with eight cores of the new 7nm Zen 2 microarchitecture. The PlayStation 5 will also support 8K gaming, but this will, of course, be dependent upon your TVs resolution, as most of today’s TVs support 4K but by 2020, we will see 8k TVs everywhere (hopefully).

Graphics will be driven by Radeon’s Navi line. The graphics chip will support ray tracing, something which is already popular among movies and video games. Cerny also confirms that this technique could also improve game audio. PlayStation 5 will fully support 3D audio, giving the best gaming experience.

As we know SSD is a big detail too, as it is responsible for fast loading and can handle more objects on-screen than current HDD consoles. Characters and cameras could move faster, as environments could be loaded in much faster than they are at present.

As one final detail, we know the PlayStation 5 will include a disc drive, unlikely to Xbox One S which doesn’t include a hard drive. so, rest assured you’ll be able to buy and play physical games.

PlayStation 5 will also be capable of supporting 4K visuals at. It is a refresh rate around double the rate of standard TVs.

Will PlayStation 5 Support PSVR?

The current PSVR will be supported by PS5. “I won’t go into the details of our VR strategy,” Cerny has stated, “beyond saying that VR is very important to us and that the current PSVR headset is compatible with the new console.”

Another report says that the current PS5 is not as powerful as other VRs in the market. So, Sony might release VR2 for PlayStation 5. If Sony releases its next-gen VR then it will be Before or around the release of PlayStation 5 as PSVR was released on October 13, 2013, and PlayStation 4 was released on November 15, 2013. We will have to wait to see that…
